across the prairies the headlines roll...pipelines stirring the nation’s soul...carney and smith signed hands in flame...yet guilbeault walked...refusing the game...collaboration whispered...practical and fraught...dreams of tidewater...resistance still caught...from ottawa’s halls to the western plain...debates on progress...and who bears the strain...some cheer the promise...some curse the cost...in politics gained...another voice lost...the mail runs slow...with parcels delayed...workers unsettled...their patience frayed...letters of love and commerce stall...echoing loudly through towns small...but joy breaks forth on saskatchewan’s field...the grey cup won...their triumph sealed...fans in green with voices strong...a prairie chorus...a victory song...and in the house...a pledge is made...dental plans assured...foundations laid...families waiting for care to come...a promise of health for everyone...so sing this week of canada’s land...of deals and doubts...of guiding hand...where victories rise and tempers fall...yet hope still threads through it all...
